I got into photography after Viet Nam and was fortunate to have a friend who worked full time for what use to be United Press International as a sports photographer. He needed help one day with coverage of a Golf tournament (formerly the GGO) in Greensboro, NC. He knew I played golf avidly and figured I would have some insight into when to take pics etc. that encounter led to MANY tournament assignments and I was very fortunate to cover the MASTERS 3 times, and several NCAA tournaments and finals. Now my photo activities have gone by the wayside and I spend time playing golf and collecting coins. My most recent acquisition was a raw 1909 S VDB purchased from an individual that had 2 old folgers coffee cans full of IHPs and wheaties that as he tells me was sitting in his garage for approx 15years. I paid for them and when I told him what I found and offered to pay him what I thought would be fair he simply said by me lunch at the club and we're even. Needless to say he had a great lunch and I'm still smiling ☺

Stay safe

Semper Fi
