Still, to add to the original question about hobbies besides coin collecting. Hobbies that are pretty much dormant are collecting gems and minerals (takes up too much room), Inuit art (early pieces from the 1950s and 1960s have gotten very hard to find), and wine (takes up a lot of space and I rarely drink anymore because of medications).</p><p><br /></p><p>Active interests in addition to coins are signed crew covers, medals, and crew patches associated with the exploration of outer space with a particular focus on&nbsp; Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, and the early days of Shuttle program. I also have some signed covers from the Soviet and Chinese programs. In the field of numismatics I am working on a US type set, a set of the classic commemoratives and a century collection with a goal of procuring an example of a coin minted from each century as far back as I can go. I did just pick up an Athenian Owl so I am getting close to the beginning. I do wander from my collecting goals if I see some something of interest, for example, British Trade Tokens and pieces I find attractive or historically interesting. I also have a fairly sizeable library on all the areas in which I have/had a hobby interest.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Due to Covid-19 and retirement I got back into coin collecting.
