I really enjoy fossils and rocks so here's a few more of mine.

A chrysanthemum flower. It's from China but the area has been flooded by the Chinese government. These are no longer available.

All right, now you've done it. Sent me off to read about Philip K. Dick, and made me realize that I probably need to go find and read some of his stuff -- I bounced off it when I was reading a lot of hard SF decades ago, but it sounds like it would be right up my alley now. All I need to do is pry myself away from the Internet's distractions long enough to read some paper works of fiction.

I did some gold panning in Jamestown California. Got a little gold, but it was fun.

Hardly worth the effort for the money but the fun in doing that is worth millions.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this thread! I have really enjoyed scrolling through all of the fascinating hobbies you guys participate in apart from coin collecting! So many beautiful treasures!

I am a gun nut as well and I reload, but I also have an extensive pipe tobacco collection (about 45 pounds). Here's a picture of my reloading bench and some of my baccy collection.

I have had a lot of hobbies including tactical gear making, bookbinding, woodworking, gunsmithing and gun restoration, AR15 building, and not to forget the thousands of books I acquired in seminary.

Coin collecting is the most recent for me in an active sense, but i have fallen in love with it from my love of history and my studies in church history from seminary. I'm a weirdo who enjoys worn, circulated coins as they have been handled by people of that time and place and were traded amidst some of the greatest events in history by people who were just trying to live their lives in that context. The mystery of who handled and used those coins fascinates me.
