@RAGNAROK - Your SA knives are neat and handy and not too big. But whenever I see this Swiss army knife, I wonder how people can actually use it. Seems like a camper would need a pack mule just to carry it. It's crazy!
The laso postcard is not german. It was just printed there as were many american postcards of that Era. After all Germany was world lider in printing equipment production. Publisher was A.L. Simpson of US. Apparently the company had different thematic series and this one was meant to illustrate song verses.. The technique used to produce it.... my guess is by hand painting the photograph to add colour and atmosphere. Postage stamp, cancel and the postcard are from the same era so the card looks legit.
Yes, on the message side of the card it indicates that it is one of a 'song series' and on the front of the card it indicates the copyright 1908 was held in the photograph only. My post said that it was designed in 1908 and that it was printed in Germany. My post could have been more artfully phrased so as to not leave the impression it was both designed and printed in Germany. Thank you.
https://priceonomics.com/how-the-hunt-brothers-cornered-the-silver-market/ Doing the math roughly I believe Sallent's holdings are a bit short of the Hunt Brothers 35 million ounces but we all must start somewhere. The question may soon be when his Gordians will outweigh his bullion. At 10-15 antoniniani to an ounce (subtracting for alloy), he only needs a few hundred more to catch up. Anyone good at math want to figure out how many 'roaches' it takes to weigh 35 million ounces?
