Artistically gifted but politically inept - Northern Song

My correspondence with David Hartill made me believe that the marks are likely mint marks or equivalent to mark a series of issues. I believe there is more fun and merit not to focus too much on just 1 type like Wu Zhu but rather according to periods and personalities. For instance Dynasties and epochs that were significant or meaningful.
