Just keep in mind - just because there is a given order in the color spectrum for the progression of colors, that does not mean that the toning of every single coin out there follows that progression in order. It is not uncommon to see natural toning that is out of order when it comes to the progression of colors.
Learn and you shall be rewarded, dont be afraid to buy coins that are toned which arent graded by PCGS,NGC,ANACS etc. Do these companys run youre lives? Do they know something that simpletons like us do not? NO, handle enough coins, read, learn and you can possess as much if not more knowledge than these companys who have created such a security blanket over the hobby that people become afraid to trust there own 2 eyes and Brain. Come on guys, learn enough to be wise enough to make smart, intelligent and profitable investments without having to have one of the big 3 give you the go ahead. Become intelligent enough to give youreself the go ahead and dont be so untrusing of others, if you are smart enough and notice somrthing that is wrong with anothers coin, at a show be a dealers or a friends new purchase you are obligated to question it.
Excellent advice :thumb: One small problem with it though, not many are willing to wait the years it takes to become educated before they buy coins. They wanna buy 'em RIGHT NOW !! Trust me, I've been preaching the education mantra for more years than I can count.
