I've had this coin for a few months now but just now getting time to post it. I have enjoyed expanding my ancients into Parthians this year. I often overlook them for the most part since to my untrained eyes, they do look similar at quick glances

I don't intend to make them my main focus, I still enjoy Romans too much, but I will continue to add them when I can.

I picked this coin up at Civitas, he was a ruler I needed & it was priced right.

The more recent attribution of these, proposed by Dr. Assar, is Artabanos IV.

    You are not alone - this one in particular a challenge - here's a page on differentiating various look-alikes (Sellwood 63, 65, 66, 74). And another 63.6:
Artabanus IV 10AD.jpg Parthian, Artabanus IV, c. AD 10-38, AR drachm, Ecbatana mint
Obv: Bust left, long square cut beard, hair almost straight, earring visible
Rev: BAΣIΛEΩΣ BAΣIΛEΩN AΡ-ΣANOΥ EΥEΡΓETOΥ ΔIXAIOΥ EΠIΦANOΥΣ ΦIΛEΛΛHXOΣ, Archer (Arsakes I) enthroned right, holding bow; Ecbatana monogram below bow
    Ref: Sellwood 63.6 (Artabanus II)
