Just picked up this 2019 Armenian Caucasian Leopard 1000 Dram proof coin. They are really uncommon. Mintage was only 700. They are crown-sized, at 40mm. I absolutely love the design—the combination of proof, reverse proof, and satin proof backgrounds. Picked up with original mint packaging. Seller’s pictures, as it is on the way.

Nice! That one has been on my watch list for a while but I never pulled the trigger (might still come back and get one at some point but less likely now that I have the Armenian Grape coin).

Congrats on picking up a beautifully designed coin!

If only the US mint made pretty stuff like this.

Thanks! I really like the former Soviet Coins, as do you. I had been watching this one for awhile, but they rarely come up at a reasonable price. This one was a steal! Think I will send it to NGC, as I can see it better, and at 69 it sells for $250, and at 70, it goes for $375 or so.

Most of these certainly don't come up often and most that do are from international sellers (and still tend to be expensive). There is a PCGS PR 70 for $300 currently on eBay (I've been watching that as well). I have sent some of mine in but don't plan on sending any more in the near future as the NGC and PCGS wait times are way too long (my last NGC sub took over 3 months).

Can't go wrong with a coin with a Cat on it.
