<p>
I have three coins they may have possible errors and I'm looking for opinions.</p><p> </p><p>The first one is a 1979-D US quarter. The D mint mark is completely filled in. Is this common or is this some type of error?</p><p> </p><p>Quarter:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterError.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterError.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterError.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>Close Up:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterErrorCU.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterErrorCU.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1979QuarterErrorCU.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>The second one is a 1964 Canadian Cent. What appears to be a scratch doesn't look to me like a scratch at all. There isn't any raised areas, debris, or discoloration associated with a scratch. It's almost as if something was stuck to the die and got stamped into the coin.</p><p> </p><p>Cent:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentError.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentError.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentError.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>Close Up:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentErrorCU.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentErrorCU.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1964CentErrorCU.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>And finally, a 1965 US Dime. It has a "scratch" similar to the cent above under FDR's chin, but it could very well be just a scratch. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie1" alt=":)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p> </p><p>Dime:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeError.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeError.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeError.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>Close Up:</p><p><a href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeErrorCU.jpg" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeErrorCU.jpg" rel="nofollow">http://www3.nf.sympatico.ca/donna.penney/coins/1965DimeErrorCU.jpg</a></p><p> </p><p>Opinions?
</p><p><br /></p>
