The plating is usually very thin and does not add much weight.

Any plateing would add metal and weight!
At 7.94g it's a light coin but would be within specifications for a sac!

I hate it when a collector coin is wasted!

I went to the bank about a year ago and a teller that I knew said she had a "gold" quarter that a customer gave her to deposit. Evidently, even plated coins can be deposited. She asked me if I wanted to buy it. I said yes. She asked how much is it worth. I said a quarter. She sold it to me for a quarter. I still have it and I like it.
