Are coin "reprints" the same as counterfeits?

    Well... The whole thing about collecting is to collect what appeals to you. Whether or not these replicas carry any after market premium is doubtful. I have stacks of wheat cents that will never be worth much more than 2-3 cents each. I like them. If replica coinage appeal s to you, go for it!

    There are certainly enough people selling the copies/tributes that there has to be a large enough market for them. I even see them advertised with certain years so people can "complete a set" with all years (i.e. Morgan and Peace Dollars). Right now, I am attempting to focus on real silver and gold coins but I might buy one of those nickels if I can get it at a good enough price...LOL :)
