All I see is die deterioration and machine doubling.

    Yes.

Machine doubling can be quite deceptive to the new variety collector.

Few Doubled Dies exist for the State Quarters series of coins with the exception of the 2005 Minnesota coins which had "Extra Tree's" due to "bump doubling" during the die making process.

There appears to be a bunch of Doubled Ears for that series but most of the DDO/DDR coins for the State Quarters are really, really, minor with a few exceptions.

It's good that you are looking at your change for minting anomalies as you never really know exactly what you are going to happen across. I have found some fairly rare coins from circulating coinage and given enough time and effort on your part, you will as well.

    Good Luck and keep asking.
