A real live Southern California coin show!!! This upcoming weekend June 12, 13 2021. It is being held in Arcadia, CA (Pasadena adjacent). Here are 2 links to info. It used to be held in Pasadena (hence the name on the second link). http://www.coinzip.com/Arcadia-Coin-Curreny-and-Collectibles-Show http://www.california-coin-shows.com/Pasadena-Coin-Currency-Show I plan on going Saturday to hunt for decent raw early 19th century U.S. coins. Or maybe a few hole fillers.
I've never been to a coin show before and they've all been cancelled recently. Even the Long beach ones. Arcadia is only about 30 mins away from me. What day are you going? I think I could probably go on the 13th.
Enjoy yourselves fellows, and think of me, stuck in NY, and wearing a mask, and scaring children. So depressed...................
I wanna go, I wanna go, I wanna go, but my daughter is moving back to CA from DC and moving into their house that day!!!
I live in N.E. Tenn. Can someone swing by and pick me up. I'll help with the gas. My Radio Flyer is in the shop. Really though, I would enjoy reading every ones show reports and some pics of the purchases.
I can't think of a better reason...to go to the show! It's not like you're gonna actually lift anything!
I went to the show Saturday June 12, 2021. I got there about 10:30a or so and left about noon. It was packed. Maybe 20 to 25 dealers. Not just coins...currency, stamps and trading cards too. Coins - U.S., World and Ancients. Not an ounce of social distancing but about 90% masked. Bought a Capped Bust Quarter...probably a F12 obv, VF20 rev. Looks like it might have taken a hit to head between the E and R in LIBERTY. 1st set of images... 2nd set of images... Neither set of images captures the "gray" correctly. Tough nuggets.
