I see the letters ANTON starting obverse top.

This is a sestertius of Verus.

 

I think you are right about the coin being Marcus Aurelius. I'm going to look at the coin closely when I receive it soon.

 

I really like this coins so I had to have it reserved. Will be mine within two months.

 

No comments on this Postumus - Hercules coin? I personally like the coin, with nice details. I wanted one with Hercules for a long time. And, the flan is fairly round for this era in coinage.

 

I saw the Postumus earlier and I like it very much - just didn't get around to commenting on it. It's got very strong features - good portrait, all the legends, definitely a choice VF if you bother with the grading business. Excellent choice - it's an emperor I have yet to acquire.

 

Not a bad Postumus at all. I haven't commented much on this thread, but I've been following it.

 

Actually, I suspect you are more likely to get comments on a newly added coin if you start a new thread with it. When I get a note that there has been a new post to an old thread, I assume that it is someone else saying nice coin and I may skip following every link when I'm busy. In this case, I might suggest watching for several different Hercules types from Postumus that you might find interesting. The other common one is DEVSONIENSI but there are some more scarce ones that I don't have. Postumus also has some nice types with other strongman gods like Jupiter and Neptune.

 

I do understand that people might not check as often, but I figured I'd post all my coins in one thread instead of flooding it with over 20 coins. Unless people don't mind.

I will look at other Hercules coins for sure. Nice coins, Doug.
