Gordian III AR Antoninianus. 238-244, 3.1g, 20mm

OBV: IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, Radiate, draped & cuirassed bust right.

REV: PM TR P VI COS II P P, Apollo seated left with branch and arm resting on lyre.

REF: IRC 90, RSC 272.

This is my second coin and reverse type for Gordian III. It's worn but looks a little bit better in hand.

 

Septimius Severus AR Denarius. 200-201 AD, 1.6g, 18mm

OBV: SEVERVS AVG PART MAX, Laureate head right.

REV: RESTITVTOR VRBIS, Septimius standing left, holding patera in right hand over tripod altar, & spear in left.

REF: RIC 167, RSC 599.

This is a rough coin and my first officially minted coin of Septimius Severus.

 

Julia Mamaea Denarius. 222-235 AD, 1.5g, 19mm

OBV: IVLIA MAMAEA AVG, Diademed, draped, bust right.

REV: VENVS GENETRIX, Venus standing left holding apple and sceptre, cupid at feet.

REF: RIC 355, RSC 72.

This is my second coin by Julia Mamaea and the second reverse type as well.

 

Salonina Billon Antoninianus. Asian mint, 255-258 AD. 3.3g, 21mm

OBV: CORN SALONINA AVG, Diademed draped bust right on crescent.

REV: CONCORDIA AVGG, Gallienus and Salonina standing facing each other, clasping hands.

REF: RIC 63, Cohen 31; RSC 31; Sear 10630.

This is my second coin by Salonina and second reverse type as well.

 

Nice handful of denarii!

 

Oh yeah, I have two more Denarii in bad shape, one I will post. The rest are Antoniniani.

OBV: IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS PF AVG, Radiate, draped cuirassed bust right.

REV: VIRT-VS AVGG, Valerian and Gallienus facing each other, one holding spear and globe, the other Victory and spear.

This one has slightly different legend placement breaks and so I listed it as RIC 293 variant.

 

Gallienus BI Antoninianus, 3.0g, 24mm

OBV: GALLIENVS AVG, Radiate head right.

REV: ROMAE AETERNA, Roma helmeted, seated left on shield, holding victory on globe and spear right.

REF: Unlisted

You guys have already seen this coin. I'm posting it again since it's part of the same lot and I'm posting the revised information.

This is a major increase to your collection. Well-done!

 

It certainly is a major increase to my collection. I have one more to post and that will be it, unfortunately. That coin will bring me up to 117 attributed coins.

I won't be getting as many coins next month.

Ok guys, I just ordered one more coin that fills a emperor slot. Whenever the dealer sends it, is when it will arrive 2-3 days later. This is it for the month for real. I could have gotten more or a better one but I'm saving the rest of the money for expensive EU shipping charges.
