We are off to Paris for a week and my amazing wife (who is planning the entire trip) asked if there are any notable coin stores in Paris so she could schedule time for us to shop (!).

Does anyone know of any? Thanks in advance.

    Dear Ms Willner,

Since you are the one who is responsible for planning the trip, make sure that you two avoid rue Vivienne and some other streets in that quarter. Sure, there may be renowned coin dealers such as CGB at 36, rue Vivienne and a few others. But all they will do is take your precious money and give you little pieces of metal for it. Money that you could invest at department stores, museums and restaurants instead.

Oh, and in case Mike insists on going to the Pont Neuf bridge, be careful. He may "accidentally" stop at 11, quai de Conti, where the mint (Monnaie de Paris) has a store. Again, watch that wallet ... and otherwise enjoy your trip!
