Apollo 11 50th Anniversary Commemorative Coins Proposed

Given that there are 3 coins, I would hope at least one of them (NOT the clad) would celebrate the ~ 450,000 people that helped design, build and support the Apollo project. (Celebrating the American taxpayer would be nice too, but I don't think Congress would ever do something like that). Without the people that worked on the project there would never have been "One Small Step".

The strange designs proposed are going to turn off many collectors.

Why not just straight silver dollars and five dollar gold coins?

 

I really hope it's a great design.
