This coin is probably one of those AU-58 / MS-63 coins. It's hard to grade it exactly without a personal look. My MS-63 estimate was done on a iPad, is was probably a bit generous. Still, when I was dealer, certified examples of these coins were all over the map. Sometimes the pieces in MS-64 and even 63 holders were better than the pieces in MS-65 holders.

Here's one I bought many years ago for a birth year set. Yes, I'm old. In 1989 this was a "Gen Uncirculated." I am financially buried in this one no matter how you grade it.

Here is the 1949-P from that set. I sold this one for good money. It is interesting to note that during the 30 + years that I have been messing with this year set that the 1949-P, 1949-D and 1949-S have all swapped places as to which one of the coins was the "top dog" in the Franklin set. When I bought the this 1949-D, it was the third 1949 dog. When I sold it, it was the top dog. The "BU" 1949-S half dollar once sold for over $300 in the 1980s.
