Crap, I was over 30 (40-ish) when I first started collecting LATE in life during the '90's

I remember when I was 12, seems like just 18 years ago...wait, it was 18 years ago. Anyway, the point is that's when i began collecting coins. Those were the days I could walk into a coin shop with $20 from mowing my neighbor's lawn and buy either a 5 ounce silver bar or a couple of VF Morgan Dollars and Walking Liberty Dollars.

 

When I was 12 (and had a pet dinosaur) $20.00 would buy me 172 new comic books or 2,000 pieces of Double Bubble bubblegum. (And I did both)

 

Make that dirty underwear older than some here. However, I feel young (most of the time).

When I was 12, I went into the poolroom with $20 and walked out with $50.
