Anyone see anything worthwhile at this auction?

    Here is a list of what is for sale on Oct 1st.

    Here are some pictures of the items (scroll down for the coins).

    I will be unable to attend but might have someone there who can bid for me. If you see any varieties, VAMs, etc., I will give you a percentage of the profits.

    I see nothing there which inspires me to travel the less-than-100-miles distance from home. The Morgans appear to be all circulated common year types represented only by one or two possible varieties which could carry a premium in circulated condition. The Cents - all types - are heavily worn. Ditto for the silver Halves, perhaps a Mint State piece or two amongst the Franklins.

    Maybe a bargain to be had in the "book" lots, but it's the expectation at an auction like this that people with no concept of numismatic value will be bidding. In your shoes, I would not be losing any sleep over the fact that I could not attend. :)
