I have returned several items to the mint. I've never had a problem at all, athough I can't really tell you for sure how longs it takes them to record the return. You did the right thing by getting delivery confirmation. I can give you a few other useful bits of information: - They usually place the return information in the same order it came from originally, so look there under your order history. - They issue refunds by crediting the same credit card you used for the purchase, so another way you can tell if they've issued the refund is by checking your credit card account. - They will refund postage also, but in my experience, they won't do it on their own and you have to contact them separately. They will ask you to fax them a copy of the mailing receipt to prove what you paid. In my case the postage has been refunded by check (which looks like an income tax refund because it comes from the treasury dept!). Again, in my limited experience, the postage refund DOES appear as a separate entry in your order history (go figure). When I've called the mint I've always gotten very polite and helpful people on the line. If you aren't getting anywhere ask for a supervisor and ask for a specific date that the refund should be issued.
