Anyone pick up the $1 Coin and Currency Set?

Yesterday's report showed less than 12,000 remaining. I don't know if some of those orders/sales will be limited, but with less than 12,000 available and if all order 5, that's less than 2,400 orders or 10 people and their friends/relatives/employees.

Kinda puts it in the 1997 matte nickel range.

 

Maybe it hasn't sold out yet because the reminder emails haven't been sent. I signed up for a reminder and still haven't received it.

 

It hasn't sold out yet because they would only offer it for sale for a few hours at a time, and nobody knew when it would be. Now that they have the limit, my guess is they will leave it up until they sell out.

 

The average price at ebay is around $28.75 right now. Down from $40.00. With additional stocks available plus most people order it for resell. The price should come down to around $20.00 by early January.

Yeah, it will probably stay low until the flippers are done and they're absorbed into collections.

 

Maybe this set will attract more N/A dollar collectors now that there's an attainable rarity.

 

Yes, I did put in a back order also. If it goes through, that helps cost average down what I paid at ebay.

 

I do not think we know for sure if there are 25K of each but many collectors are just guessing that is the case. If one edge letter orientation turns out to be lower mintage than the other, it will likely carry a premium but only time will tell. Also, keep in mind that some are looking for certain serial numbers on the dollar bill included in the set as well. How many of these sets will be broken up, coin submitted to a TPG and dollar bill spent in a vending machine? TC

I appreciate all the notices from fellow members about this coin and its availability. I have been able to purchase one for my collection.

 

Unfortunately putting in the order doesn't mean it will get filled [emoji20] I placed my order on 12/4/2014 & it's still "On Hold" I hope they don't run out before they fill my order

My 2 sets arrived today 1 Position "A" and 1 Position "B" both coins are very nice.
One observation the capsule has a ridge and when I pulled on it, it came apart from the bottom half so be careful when taking it apart.
I did crop & combined the reverse of the dollar bill so it would be right side up on the photo

 

So much for "Backorder". Just got an email that my order from 3 pm Pacific yesterday just shipped!

Stoster & 'Witten? I'd give the phone center a ringy dingy. Tell 'em two guys ordered sets last night and their orders were fulfilled in one day. Tell ya the truth guys........I've never had such fast service from the mint.
