I do not think there is any capsule attach on it (like capsule attached to the commemorative or american eagle collector series). If we pull out the coin.m it will be nothing on it. right?. I am not sure either. Never try that before. Anyone knows. Thanks.

Also the kennedy clad two coins set with folder too. Is this also without a capsule?.

The coin is in a hard plastic capsule sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard. You can't remove the capsule without destroying the package but you can open the top of the capsule and remove the coin.

My order status shows "On Hold" and it's been like that for several days. My card was charged. Anyone know what this means?

So it looks like the mint JUST changed the household limit from "none" to 5. My order of 30 is on hold. I wonder if that means it is getting cancelled???

Just managed to catch the Mint site in a mood to allow a backorder. Put 2 on order.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I got three on backorder. What an ordeal to check out though. Gonna have to remember to disable the tracking software on my machine next time.

I ordered 4, hope they arrive soon. I was hoping to give one away on Saturday at the club Christmas dinner

Why are people not ordering max on a coin that is so cheap and is selling for double the original price on ebay?

WOW! Who woulda thought, a fiasco bigger than the 2011 ASE set.

  13. These sets are intruiging. Total mintage is just 50K but only 25K each for Position A and B. I have not heard of any graded 70 by PCGS or NGC. These typically grade 68 or less, but it seems NGC has graded some as 69. The value may be in the chance to get a 70 for those inclined to flip raw sets on eBay. TC

By the way - it said 'Backordered', but let me order and charged my CC immediately.

Position A and B? Is that the orientation of the edge lettering? Two of mine are right side up when the obverse is facing me, the other one is upside down. So I have at least one of each... Do we know there are 25K of each?

I'm no pro with the Golden Dollars, but I understand that the edge lettering alignment is random.

We need at least 6,000 to 7,000 people order to sell out this set. Maybe need two weeks time.

They went fast when is was unlimited per person, but now with a limit of 5 per person it should take a little longer to sell out. I imagine the edge letter position is random, but for serious collectors, they might want one of each.

I do not know if I can order it again. I did before. This time have to pay $4.95 shipping. Cause it is less than $100.00.
