Mine have not yet arrived. I am sure Frank has an order for sending out invoices or coins but some also depends on the mail service. Someone has to be last but we all hope it is not us.

I know from an email Frank sent me over the weekend correcting the arithmetic in the first invoice he had provided, that he had 185 different winning bidders for whom he had to send out invoices and/or coins. So the process was taking a while. Even apart from the vagaries of the mail. Hopefully yours will arrive today.

I bid on a few coins. My bids were at my highest I wished to pay. I lost on all of the coins. However, I looked through Frank's list of coins that did not sell, found one I would like, and purchased it for the starting bid on his auction. I received the coin four days later (earlier this week).

I hope it wasn't the same one I ordered from the unsolds. :shame: As an exercise, I look at unsolds and try to decide why no one wanted them.

Mine hasn’t arrived yet either, Doug, so you’re not alone. I’m just hoping it makes it through the mail okay!

I do the same. I find generally that the starting price might look too high, but also find that not to be the case. In the case of the coin I ordered, the starting price was outside (higher) than I normally pay/bid, but it was an example I have been wanting. I really doubt it was one you may have had interest. I will photograph and post it in the near future.

Frank sent my coins by 2-day mail. Boy, that took a lot of stamps!!!

They did! Thank you for the good thoughts.

My unsold pickup was passed over, I suspect, due to the ragged edge which wrecked the goat horns. This type seems rather frequently poorly stuck on smaller than we wish flans. The goat horns are an important part of the interest of this coin (one I have wanted for a long time). Otherwise, the coin has a lot of detail including the whole wheel on the biga and a decent obverse centering. The coin has a rather dark tone which I prefer to the current polished silver fad.

This was one of the first types that showed some originality after the long run or Dioscuri and horse drawn chariot reverses. Certainly I would have preferred a coin with better horns but it is still a decent specimen.

Yes it is. Decent detail (minus the horns of course). Better than mine which was struck lower on the flan. I have the horns, but missing the bottom quarter.

It seems that horns and ROMA are hard to get on one coin.
