Yep, you get it, Randy. That piece of it will be HUGE, and we'll both remember it forever. If we get a decent coin, win. If not, oh well, move on.

For the record, the boy and I did that exact same thing coming home from our last ski trip in January. We walked into the casino, I took two hundred dollar bills out, gave one to him and we both sat down at an opposing bank of slot machines. We weren't there for more than five minutes when I hit a bonus and turned my hundred into $555 and change. I hit the collect button and walked around to his side and pretty soon he got a bonus as well and turned his hundred into over $200. He hit the collect button as well, we visited the cash-out machine and headed for the door. I let him keep his loot as he was going on vacation with his wife in a few days and I figured I was money enough ahead with my winning. If we take this story into account, it's that casino that is going to buy this Vaultbox coin for me!

    As Charley would say:

    So..........

I'd say I see two in your future (1 for you and son)! Weight matters Series 4 and 5 observations empty vault box 122 grams, Morgans 26 (148 ish) ASE's 162-164 grams (boo) and the Saint 164! good luck

I see the videos of people revealing their vault boxes and I like the suspense, just like I love watching submission unboxings. I personally wouldn't take a chance at that price, but I can see the appeal. I know a few issues back someone revealed the big coin quite early which probably put a damper on everyone else's unboxing.

Heck, for $399 one can still get a Byzantine gold tremissis. I'll stick with known quantities.

I got in and nabbed the limit of two! Yeehaw! Here's to finding a red slab when they come! The boy is going to love this. I figure we'll each open one and do the "slide" of the insert to see what color the slab is, like I've seen on some of the reveals.

same here figured I spent $10 a week on powerball and tri state megabucks never even got a ASE so what's the difference. Logged in at 8am est left running at 11:00 got 13 min wait in query then it took seconds!

Now that's some outside the box thinking they're not teaching kids in schools :p
You 2 should get before pictures on the scale and then a look at the contents.
Might be valuable information for someone later.

Is there a set number of vault boxes in a series?

I like the way that was set up with the queue - "waiting in line". Once it was my "turn", it was a couple of clicks and done! The US Mint could take some advice from them when they roll out some of their products!

Yeah the US mint could learn something about how to do a release from them.. That whole "waiting your turn in line" bit seemed to work very well

I had read that previous Vaultbox releases had some of the same issues that the US Mint has, but obviously they came up with this solution which, as you say, seemed to work very well on this release. My wait time in the queue was not that long at all. The sale opened at 10AM CST and I got my order confirmation at 10:15AM. I see now that the series is "sold out". I wonder what time that happened.

One has a potentially life altering outcome. The other is an ASE.
