They get perks such as faster grading and lower prices but thats about it. You get what you get when using 2nd or 3rd tier TPGs and there's a reason why they dont bring the same prices as a PCGS., but ANACS isnt corrupt

I was close, but shouldn't they have the (P) because they were struck in Philadelphia?[/QUOTE]
Thought about that, also, but both with the privy marks plus since Philly never marked their coins, anyway, until 1980 (except the cent) as is done now, maybe they figured that aspect, too, should be duplicated on the 2021 commem coin as with 1921...no Philly mint mark.

Looks like my D & S Morgans just shipped today!

Interestingly the US Mint used UPS for this order and USPS for the CC & O Morgans order.

That tells me they are trying to ease the load by splitting the orders between USPS & UPS instead of overwhelming one company and having them end up taking forever to deliver it.

Kudos to the US Mint for thinking about that.

Now it looks like I’m just waiting on the Morgan P and Peace Dollar to ship and everything will be on the way. ^_^

Not surprising. The ones they’ve graded were likely the first ones minted and shipped out so they were struck with fresh new dies. If they didn’t get MS70 I would think the Mint would be ashamed of itself.

I wonder if it was a group submission and they put a minimum 70 ?

I don’t think the P and Peace have shipped for anyone yet. At least not from what I’ve seen and heard from people who ordered them. My guess is they are still working on the Peace Dollars.

My D & S are in the same situation where it shows “shipped” but UPS doesn’t have them in hand yet.

Today USPS finally got the CC & O even though I was emailed they had shipped last Thursday. For some reason it takes them quite a while to deliver them to the shipper after notifying the customer they have shipped.

    Nice!! Congrats!

I’m guessing you paid for overnight shipping? Or live close to or in Texas?

Hey just wanted to say my P just shipped tonight about 2 hours ago.

But the Peace Dollar did not ship with it.

As you can see I got a tracking number but it hasn’t been received by USPS yet.

I’m actually surprised the US Mint is still shipping things at 11PM EST/8PM PST. I figured the Mint would be closed and most employees would be at home except security guards (cause all that gold & silver)

Based on that I’m guessing the Mint is finished minting the Morgan’s and figured they’d ship those out while they finished making the Peace Dollars.

You already experienced the status changing from processing to shipped on previous orders (you and I discussed this already). You know just because it goes into shipped mode doesn't mean it is actually in the hands of the carrier yet. The status of shipped only notifies you that your coins will likely hit the PO or UPS within the next few days. Therefore, it didn't 'ship' at 11PM. The only thing that happened was the status changed at 11PM. And that doesn't take an employee physically sitting there to package it. The computers handle the status change from data entered sometime prior to the actual system status change.

I know we did but I was telling him mine shipped because he asked if anyone's P has shipped yet.

Also as for the time thing if you look at the US Mint website it says that customer support is available on the phone from 8am-midnight EST so I wouldn't be surprised if they were indeed still shipping late at night.

It's true sometimes the status is delayed for a while before it changes, but it's also true sometimes it changes immediately. I know this because I have shipped things before and kept an eye on the tracking to make sure it got there and sometimes I've seen the status change right after I drop the package off and other times I've seen it take up to 24 hours to change at all.

Thanks! :) But like we were talking about earlier it’s nothing new for the Mint to take a while to get it here that’s why I’m glad one is already with USPS and another with UPS.

I just need it in time for the First Strike label.

It’s all good, we can disagree. What I know is I have upflipped them in the past with exceptional photos and had several people call me out on the visible flaws. Heck, even I saw them when I imaged them but I didn’t grade them.

The last time I upflipped was 2011. IIRC as it’s been awhile, the run was 325, ie 1 of 325 label graded 70’s. I bought 1/4 of the run I think at $160ea. Of the 60-80, if I were grading them it would have been at best 8 70’s, the rest 69’s due to contact marks, visible to the naked eye. That’s all I got to say about that. Buy the coin not the holder applies.

That is more likely the case. You can’t guess the first ones shipped out were the first struck as the mint doesn’t ship that way. The first shipped may be the last struck.
