Anyone from Illinois? Anyone know anything about this merchant? When they were in business etc? Just wondering before I put it on the bay. I know some of y'all have books and are quite the sleuths. ;) I checked Tokencatalog.com but no luck! Any comments? :D

This might help a little. His first name was actually Conrad and it look like he was a beer distributor in Freeport Illinois. This comes from the Freeport Journal 22 April 1939. COONIE.JPG

I found it funny in the 1930 census his occupation is listed as a proprietor of a recreation parlor.

Probably because Prohibition was in effect in 1930. (1920 to 1933).

Y'all rock! :D I don't know why he chose a scalloped token but hey he paid for it and it's none of my business! :D Maybe he knew somebody in the future would be talking about it. ;) I was hoping it was from the 1800's, yep that's how my luck rolls. :)
