That was a $700 win.</p><p><br /></p><p>I actually just came across a large stamp collection and my hunch was right - it has a 1980 Gengshen Golden Monkey stamp in mint condition. Valued at ~$1800. This is the second stamp collection I've found one in. Actually I've found 5, 3 were fakes and I destroyed them.</p><p><br /></p><p>I bought a jar of "junk foreign coins" at an auction last year. They were labeled Polish or Czeckoslovakian or something. I paid $20 plus fees - so roughly $25. This was in the jar. 1879-S 10 Markkaa gold coin.
