I have found a 1989 P Dime where the Face ( Nose area) has a Olive and Olive Leaves on the Obverse side and Roosevelt's Neck and Nose on the Reverse in the Olive and The Neck Line showing above the Maple Leaves.

I can't find the Error in any book, or online site for a 1989 P Dime.

If I have the ONLY One What is it Worth? 20170625_133746.jpg 20170625_133948.jpg

I wouldn't go as far as to say it is a common occurence, but it isn't very rare.

If the die contact didn't destroy, or break, the die(s), then there are likely hundreds or thousands of them.

Thats about as good of a Rosie clash as you will see. Yes, very hard to come by....
There ARE 2 dates known with heavily clashed dies> 1984 & 1994. IIRC.
Not sure the value, but a dyed in the wool specialist might pay top dollar for a previously unknown example.
    Throw it up on tbe

Edit- Last sentence meant to say-
    *Throw it up on Ebay*
    (not sure what happened there)
With good photos showing the depth of clash, and both sides of the coin.
You just never know, ya know

Like said I have been Hunting and found this Dime Clash Sunday June 3rd when I found this from a Roll out of Pennsylvania. Looks as if I'll have to send it off to get authenticated.

I haven't seen anything like this one.
Other date 84 & 94, but not as nice as this one! So far!

The sharp quality of such a clash indicates that the coin was struck fairly soon after the clash occurred. Often the clash is caught when it happens, or soon after, and the dies are lightly ground/abraded to remove the effects of the clash. Most clashes you see have been abraded in this way and only parts of the clashed features are visible, and those that are appear smoothed and indistinct. Clashes like this that show sharply on both obverse and reverse are more interesting and valuable to collectors.

If you have interest, I'd be willing to image obverse and reverse of the coin, and make an animation like I did on the 2014. That might go a long way to explaining what you have and you can post the images to get better input from folks as to value and interest level.

edited to add: PM me if you are interested
