About 10-11 years ago, I missed getting a full box of silver quarters from my bank by about 5 minutes. I had ordered two boxes of half dollars and one box of quarters for my Wednesday pick-up, but instead of leaving early to be at the bank just before opening, I messed around on the computer for a couple of minutes too long. As usual, I went through the quarter rolls just looking for silver before returning them to the bank. Silver quarters were easy to spot because they were in shrink-wrapped rolls. There were none, so I immediately took the box back to the bank to see if they had another box to exchange for them. Laurie, the head cashier, excitedly said, "You won't guess what just happened." It seems that the manager of a local 7-11 had come in asking for another box of quarters. Laurie said she was surprised because he had just picked up a box at opening time and she didn't see how he could have gone through a whole box in just a couple of hours. He explained that when he opened the box, he discovered that every roll was silver, so he kept them for himself. Chris
