But there are legitimate ways to do this through a reserve or a higher start price. Using a shill and starting an auction at a very low price can drive interest (more bidders) and lower ebay fees while preventing a coin from selling too cheaply.</p><p><br /></p><p>Believe it or not, shills are used in non-ebay auctions often. Heritage has been suspected of this in numerous cases. Teletrade has their own electronic version. In the end you pay no more than your maximum price if you win. It&#039;s just that you don&#039;t get the deal you might have, had there been no shilling.</p><p><br /></p><p>I avoid neyronix auctions because of this underhanded behavior.
