And the accompanying write-ups (and comments) here are often as academic as the posts at FORVM.&nbsp; The difference is that nobody posts at FORVM just to show off a new coin unless it&#039;s an unpublished variety, or there&#039;s a question about the mint or the dating or the coin&#039;s authenticity.</p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;ve belonged to FORVM for years -- I don&#039;t seem to be banned, by the way! -- and find Numiswiki and many articles and posts there to be absolutely essential resources.&nbsp; But I&#039;ve never posted, not even once, because I find the place way too intimidating given the &quot;serious&quot; focus and the heavy moderation -- for example, not being permitted to mention specific dealers, in either a positive or negative way.&nbsp; I guess I&#039;m just insufficiently intellectual and academic for the place![/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
