No, but I know a guy who collects coins on guns...

'44-'46 Wheaties were made out of used shotgun shells I think.

 

Somehow I don't feel too surprised that Russia has an AK-47 featured on their coinage.

Fun thread. Never thought about it.

 

Just read this bit in my Lincoln Cents book. They used spent munitions shells from training exercises and mixed in pure copper to get the alloy correctish. Apparently there was quite the backlash to the steelies.

 

Swiss shooting medals come to mind...

I just bought a coin with a gun on it las week. Mainly because I went to Fort Vancouver high school though (go trappers). I like guns on coins but don't particularly seach them out.

 

I collect guns made *out* of coins. Much smaller market.

 

Be careful you'll get expelled from school for carrying them or blocked from boarding a plane.
