It would have been better to let te sale go undiscussed but it works enough different from the big electronic ones that some things need understanding before new people can see how things used to be. Now the sale is over so we can talk freely. One difference is Frank sells coins he owns and every so often sells one he has sold before. Yours will be an example. My eye was attracted/repulsed by a lot:

154 Same (Thasos stater), F, nrly centered on elongated flan, somewhat crude blobby style, good metal with lt tone.

Ex my 1/01 sale where it realized $170. I had paid $168. Whooppee! Now MB $130

Which struck me as way too much in 2001 and again today so I must be missing something. When the cheap list came out, it had no bids suggesting most people agreed with me. I always find interesting when we see coins declining in price in 17 years. I can't say it declined in value because I can't explain the 2001 number (I would have said $50???) so I wondered what would be the result today. This is wher I come from when I suggest folks study the prices realized and look for signs of good and 'questionable' deals. I pay too much as often as I get a good deal so it all works out. Frank paid too much before the 2001 sale. I wonder how much he paid this time.

I love the hobby but would make a terrible dealer since what attracts me to buy a coin rarely aligns well with the current fads. That does not stop me from being interested in how the other half bids. Several of us indicated an interest in only three to six lots. It will be interesting to see if any of us overlapped on any coin. If you are into the coins as a profession, you will have other sales in the next weeks that will consume your time and interest but those of us who have no real likelihood of buying much before the Spring show season have time to kill dissecting prices realized.
