i'd not be afraid to buy anything slabbed on ebay as long as the sellers feedback was in good order. and most people prefer the good old fashioned US postal money order. no fee's for them that way.
I can't believe a slabbed SAC goes that high.???.... i guess i might ought to send mine in.

Larry, if you feel that way about all "slabbed" EBay coins, you really are crazy. Can you say "SGS"? :p

However, if you really mean "slabbed by one of the big four", then I agree with you. :)

I think my dad is worried that my paypal number will get drained in seconds. What is paying with paypal like anyways?
Why is NGC always cheaper then PCGS? I thought they were equal grading companies.
Does anybody here have paypal attached to their bank account?
    Id appreciate it ajm.

1)Paying with Paypal is Very simple. You log in to your account and click on the "send money" link and then fill in the blacks and Paypal transfers the money to the other person; very slick, indeed.

2)Good question! There is no simple answer to this. One factor is that the PCGS registry set competitions only allow PCGS coins while the NGC registry competitions allow NGC and PCGS coins, so the demand for PCGS slabs is higher. Another reason is marketing, PCGS has convinced the marketplace that it is better and prices reflect that. Some people will contend that it is because PCGS is tighter with their grading, meaning that a MS66 in a PCGS slab is nicer than an MS66 in anyone else's slab, but I don't buy that.

3)I do too and I've also never had a problem, but before you jump in you should read the horror stories of people on www.paypalsucks.com since there is a lot of possibility for trouble ESPECIALLY if you use Paypal to receive money. The way I protect myself is that I opened a bank account to connect to my Paypal account and it is for nothing else. When I want to pay for something with paypal then I transfer money into my bank account and then use Paypal to transfer it to whoever is the seller. I have no overdraft protection on my account so that if an unauthorized request for funds comes through, then my bank will deny it. Also, when I am selling I use my Paypal debit card to remove all the money I receive every day from my Paypal account. This gives them less time in possession of my money and reduces the risk that they will freeze my account with money in it. Again there seems to be little risk for people who are buyers only, but the sellers are at a substantial risk.

    Good luck!

ok this is what I think my dad wants to know. Say you find out my paypal number is 12121212121212, is that all you need to hack it? Will you be able to drain it then or do you need a password or something?

I have my PayPal account attached to two of my credit cards and my checking account. I have never had problems. I have recieved a few Phishing e-mails recently but since their being sent to an e-mail address not associated with my PayPal account I know for a fact that they are just scams. Plus even if I was unsure I can always start a new browser and log into my accout to check.

However if your worried about the account
I believe that the only way to initiate a payment is by first logging in to your account. Therefore if someone got ahold of your account number they would still need your userID and password. (As I am not a PayPal expert I could be wrong.)

Since you can open free checking accounts just about anywhere you can always open a second checking account somewhere and use it as a saftey buffer.

your paypal id # isn't really a number at all, but it is your email address. Additionally you have a password on your account as well, so someone would have to have both of those pieces of information to "hack" your account. This is part of why I don't keep money in the bank account that is attached to my paypal account (just in case).

One thing that you do need to be cautious of is that you will likely begin to receive "phishing/spoof" e-mails from hackers once you sign up. These emails will use the paypal logo and will say things like "your account has been compromised and has been restricted. . .please click the link below to reactivate your account." Or something like that. Basically it is an attempt to get you to click on the link provided in the email and then when you enter your info on their website they will be able to steal from you. The key is that Paypal (and eBay for that matter) will never email you and ask you to follow a link in an email to do ANYthing. If there is ever anything actually wrong with your Paypal account you can always go to www.paypal.com and then log into your account and it will tell you exactly what the problem is.

If your father is concerned about security, just have him look around paypal's site before you sign up, they do a good job of outlining their security measures and he can find answers to most of his questions there.
