    I inherited a coin collection and this was in a bag can’t seem to identify this coin or know why it looks like this. Very interested in hearing from you guys. Thank you always for the help

    That is a damaged 1838 US large cent. Unfortunately it's not worth a whole lot with that kind of damage. Usually cull largies like this will go for $2-3 apiece.
