The words translate to "Polish National Bank" and "50 zloty." The currency conversion is 18.9451 USD, so it's worth at least that much.
Unfortunately, that note, which dates from 1988, is "Old Zloty". Inflation ate up the Zloty's value so much that in 1995, the Old Zloty were replaced with the New Zloty, at a rate of 1 New per 10,000 Old. So its monetary value is nowhere near the current exchange rate.
Ouch! Well disregard my earlier post then. So, the exchange rate makes it worth 0.00189 USD! So not much.
The Educational Coin Company is selling these notes for 42 cents each in lots of 10, or 35 cents each for a 100-note lot
lol that's fine The whole time I thought they were Russian! Thanks, even though thier not worth much they're interesting. =]
