Picked a “Never go broke” token at a local estate auction yesterday. I was bidding on a group of miscellaneous Exonumia and was only interested in this piece. When the bidding got too high, I bowed out. The winner asked me which piece I was interested in, I told him only the token, he said I could have it if I bought him a cup of coffee. Win-Win!! It’s from a dry goods store in St. Louis, MO. Just a neat piece of regional history.
