I like these animals. I don't know why or what liking these animals says about me (what do they say about me?), but I'm drawn to them. I bet there are some good ones of donkeys with Don Quijote via Spain's Mint and its former colonies. Do you have silver coin examples of either? Here are a couple I've found on the 'net and want to add to my collection. + This one's a token, but it has both so I made an exception: + Aegina Stater ancient coin:
I will always need more coins no matter how many I have. lol But nah, I've got quite a few already. It's so much easier to just Google it instead of taking pics, especially with my photography skills (or lack thereof).
@iPen, do you want modern bullion? if yes, http://www.apmex.com/category/27315/new-zealand-mint-silver-taku-series I bought one of these for my niece since she has a tortoise. I was secretly hoping she would like hobby.
It can be a lot of fun. Just takes a little patience. And you won't have to take images from a Google search. Seriously. It's a fun side hobby and it gives you another chance to play with your coins.
Yeah, I got one of those sea turtles. Neat coin. I was hoping to find one with a Galapagos giant tortoise. I'm sure there are examples.
Does it have to be "tortoises" or are regular turtles good enough? I've been collecting them for awhile and was preparing to post them soon. I just got a silver one today actually.
This one's turtle side looks like the Fiji one, 1987 Ecuador 50 Reales Proof. It's a 5 ouncer at 65mm wide! Suits the giant tortoise very well. Pic from the 'net.
