Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone knows about any possible errors in the 2005 mint set. I just finished looking through my early sets and noticed that the quality of the satin finish is poor. In one Philly sleeve, the dime appears to be missing the satin finish on the fields of the obverse. The Oregon quarter is missing the finish completley on the obverse. In another set , the D Oregon quarter is missing this layer on the reverse. In the same pack, one quarter looks spotted as if the finish was sprayed on. Another quarter seems to be missing layers on the fields and bust.Almost like acid was dripped on it. I just recieved my sets that I ordered late in Nov.,and noticed that the quality is much better. Im wondering if I've really found something . Or should I send these back? One more question. How exactely is the satin finish applied? TIA CLAW
