I bought this in a lot. It’s the most worn and hard to identify. If anyone knows what, when, where. It’ll be greatly appreciated. It weighs 8.2 grams looks eligible letters on the head side are ___K_ANT___ANOLA biggest diameter is 1”

    Hi Frazer

The portrait is that of Gordian III. I can't read the legends, but it surely is a provincial of some sort for this dude

Yes, Gordian III, Markianopolis, Hermes standing left, holding purse and caduceus

    Probable legends:
Obverse: AYT K M ANT ΓOΡΔIANOC AVΓ
    Reverse: MAΡKIANOΠ-O-ΛEITΩN

@Frazer Doherty - since you got the answer you needed (I’m glad), I removed the duplicate thread in the other forum. Just one thread per coin, please.

Sorry, on the other thread they told me to post over here. I’ll delete the other one next time.

No, that’s fine. It’s just easier for us to move an existing thread to another forum than is to try and merge two duplicates. In your case, the duplicate didn’t have any info you needed, so I just whisked it off to Purgatory rather than trying to merge the two, which gives me headaches.
