I have this standing liberty that looks like 1923 S. If so, what do you think it might fetch. Have an idea but thought I'd ask anyway. Regards 20230911_170305.jpg 20230912_171054.jpg egards.

Well, if that is a 3, then there is only one date in the series that ends in 3.;)

Congratulations - nice find. I have a complete set of SLQs that I am upgrading for my top set, and I have a nice looking but Details VF30 in the 1923-S spot that I paid about $700 for a few years back. I'm hoping to get into an AU 1923-S that is straight graded for low four figures when the opportunity arises. They didn't redesign the date until 1925 - so the faint date isn't unusual or a big negative - the raised date often wore off / down. As to this one, it depends on if it grades straight (hard to tell from the pics - for me anyway) - if it graded straight and F12, you're looking at $500 easily. Check the sold listings on eBay for some perspective - https://www.ebay.com/itm/134670114913?hash=item1f5af6e061:g:r6YAAOSwp4Nkw7uR&amdata=enc:AQAIAAAAwMQb+rPEBzLtsgr3CfZH04oQeUku9CdGnroyCjrtLTJTq/tgxawskqAh65o+HPYcDuhXzFFz1QtWKFHUiUhqF5VuRCXmNiFSRzcgnDFcBIWDU17B9rI1Pmit4CJiwb9pTafQsRf4mjvf31y4AMPS0uQ7R3z7yAAf76pTrD/ea34Nai2JTJNSY2VCwA5HtkJ7PNMAK7FY1SwWowRJ8JzgM+0RZD8yv5ysIdbHYmv6sj+xBhfxb4IH7k97UVcFa1IWKA==|tkp:Bk9SR8SVysPRYg.

Yeah, I wonder how many SLQ are dateless. This one looks to be a good grade so we'll see how it goes. Thanks.

I would suggest you get it slabbed before trying to sell it. If the fee is no problem, go for the most prestige value. Otherwise message " Insider ", You get a Forum ICG discount. If he agrees it is a 23S, you can break it out and move into the PCGS/NGC.rtc. range of value. I am 50/50 as the photos do not yell at me :)

I'm nobody. I'm not even an ex-spurt. But, there is no date, other than the 1923 S that I can imagine this to be? The S is clear, I can't see anything other than a 3 as the last number, and, as you stated, 1923 is the only option. But, as to what one of the grading companies would do, I have no idea? But, I'm satisfied it's a 1923 S. So, I'd give $25 for it, lol.
I wish you well with it. Hope it works out good for you.

Thanks for the offer, but I'd just as soon keep it and add it to the inventory. Thanks all for your input. Regards.
