It's "two all the way!". A hot dog (made with pork and veal) with yellow mustard, spicy meat sauce, diced onion and celery salt, all on a steamed bun. They are called "New York System Hot Weiners" (pronounced "weenies"). Also called "gaggers" and "belly busters".

Best enjoyed after a night of heavy drinking! 2 all the way with a side of fries drizzled with white vinegar and salt, and a glass of coffee milk...Nirvana!

Purists will only eat them washed down with coffee milk http://quahog.org/factsfolklore/index.php?id=56, another Rhode Island exclusive.

They are a Rhode Island favorite, and only available there. They are unknown everywhere else, even New York. Those in the avatar are from Olneyville New York System in Olneyville Square, Providence, RI.

There are many restaurants (usually referred to as "weenie joints") in RI that sell them, but the original Olneyville has the best, in my opinion. They run about $2 each, but worth it!

If you've never had them and plan on trying them, be sure to have some tums or rolaids for desert.

Sounds like fun Rick. If I ever get up that way I'll have to give 'em a test run. Thanks for the rolaids warning but judging from your description I think I could have figured that one out myself. :)

Whenever I go anywhere its never my driving skills I'm worried about, it's other people's. With all the people who talk or text on their phones or even stupider stuff. I've passed people and seen them looking at a newspaper while driving. So yeah, I'm concerned whenever I get behind the wheel doesn't matter if I'm going 200 miles or 2 miles. Other drivers are the idiots, not me. You never know when somebody is going to rear end you or swerve into your lane because they are reading a text.

I'd go with a fireproof safe. If your collection is that valuable you should have one anyway. I have a sentry safe that is theft, fire and water resistant. Its really heavy, but can be carried by myself if empty. When I moved with it, I carried it to my vehicle empty, them packed my valuables inside, then I put a 25lb weight in the bottom locked it and covered it with some blankets. Even if somebody suspected it was a safe under the blankets, Its so heavy its hard enough to carry when it is empty. So with the weight of my coins and pistols along with the extra 25lbs in it, nobody was gonna walk off with it even if they had the nerve to break into my alarmed vehicle in broad daylight. I keep the safe bolted to the floor in my apartment, so it's not going anywhere.

When moving it was the last thing I carried to my car and the first thing I carried into my new apartment. I bolted in to the floor in my closet right away. 200 miles isn't so far away that you could make the full trip without any stops. Depending on your gas millage you probably wouldn't have to stop for gas.

I can't believe anybody thinks shipping them with a common carrier would be a safer choice than hauling them with you in your own trunk! Lets see:

Your trunk- Carefully set in place by you, they ride the couple hundred, most likely gentle, miles, straight to where you're going. You arrive. You carefully remove them and set them at their final destination.

Common carrier- Drop them off. They get thrown in a truck. Driven to nearest hub. Dropped off with millions of other boxes. Some guy making 10 bucks an hour throws them on a conveyor. Hopefully they don't get lost in the warehouse. Then they're thrown on another truck or plane to be handled at the next hub with risk of getting lost and thrown again.. Etc.,Etc...

Take your chances of staying out of a car accident. This answer is too obvious to me. If they're in a trunk, nobody's going to see them. If they can be seen in a wagon, cover the safes with something. If small enough, put under the seat. This is no big deal.
