    Right about 1920 China Silver Dollar Crown. Lots of counterfeits. If original worth a little money. Ive seen them $75-100 in that shape.

    As evidenced by the bubbles and rough surfaces at the 1 and 2 o'clock rim position on the "fat man" side; may be other markers in play.

    Yes, also the dentils are off and on reverse don't even touch the rim. This means the transfer process was involved, as is commonly used with fakes.

    This date (1919) is actually quite rare when genuine.

    $5 is not a bad price for a decent looking copy like this, for study purposes. You can find much lower quality ones at flea markets for $1-$2.

    Is there a website with good enough pictures of a real one for a layman to learn the difference?

    There are usually a few genuine ones in NGC or PCGS holders on eBay and completed items.

    Yeah, but it's hard to see the coin up close in a holder.
