I'm trying to gain knowledge on the subject. I have some silver pandas and have owned one ounce hold ones before. You looking at gold, silver or platinum?
I'm looking to see if it's worth putting in a slab. The coin by itself is worth around $40. While a MS 68 can fetch $80 and a MS-69 can go for around $130. I'm planning on holding onto the coin now. Just trying to find out if it's worth sending it off.

The things I would consider before sending it off: Which company gets $80 for MS68? - Because that's the company I would send to. How much does it cost to get graded by that company? - Because that's more money I have to spend on that coin and if I can't get that money back, it's money spent. If it graded at a profitable return what would I do with it? - If I was going to hold on to it I see no upside to grading. Your pictures are not good enough to attempt a grade from. Someone please correct me, but isn't it around $50 per coin to PCGS? That's including shipping, insurance, membership fees, and grading fees. Something like $30 for NGC.
I don't see a financial advantage to having the coin graded. If you want to verify that it is authentic than wait for a special submission price with ANACS and send to them. If I were to send it in I would first have it conserved, but that is additional cost.
NGC: $8 submission fee+ $35 standard grading fee, (Cheaper if you submit 5 coins) + shipping and insurance to NGC+ and my guess $12 shipping and insurance back from NGC=TOO MUCH $$$
It's not for financial advantage. I just want to save it for my daughter and just wanted to put it in a slab. I wasn't aware of how much it cost to send in.
The game you want to play requires that you can grade like NGC and predict the market for this coin. Assume the best case scenario - you spend $40 for the coin, $55 for grading, and hope to make $40. Worst case - $40 for the coin, $55 for grading, and lose money. Your pictures are better but there's a big shadow and not good enough. (I'm not a photographer)
Oh, just buy an Air-Tite and call it a day. First, if there are doubts about authenticity, get that sorted out. Air-Tites are like $0.65 from the website and about $1.20 from a coin store. Shipping is tough from the web, so unless you're buying in bulk it's better to get them from the store.
Air-Tite is what you need for this coin. I don't think it will grade 68+ but I collect tokens and ancients so take my advice at your own peril. I think coin photography is fun and has become a side hobby I'm not very good at.
Is your 1 ounce Silver Panda legit or a counterfeit ? If you like the coin and want one in MS-69 or MS-70, just buy one. I own both Silver and Gold pandas.
