Thanks a lot too for the link, Did you see mine too. Nice gift too an 1878CC for the gratitude that you save a life of a teen. The Present.... Two great leaders voted by Presidential Historian Society. The FUTURE? The PAST.
A few years back I was out in the yard at my house. The dog had developed this annoying habit of digging holes in the yard. On this day she had chosen one of the fence posts to dig by. As I go over to get her to stop the excavation, in the pile of dirt she had removed was a Standing Liberty quarter. I'm guessing it had popped out of someones pocket in the past and wound up next to the gate post. It was extremely worn, no date. Type II, probably pre-1925 as it does not appear to have a recessed date. Still have the dog and the quarter.
Tyler, the fact I do not understand this " biggest of Bologna" anyway you can keep your $ 800.00 bucks. These coin is in eBay for over a years with over 25,300 views and more than 105 offered. 6- 7 figures I declined that offered because they are not qualified to purchased on that items.Thank you.
I do not really knows why everytime i passed by on the highway or any state I drive too, there's a lot of Mc DONALD. Then I stop over for BIG MACK number 1.
He spent 2 days at the Reno hospital's ICU and 5 more days recovering. They cut a hole in the back of his head but did not install a plate. His dad said based upon his age that some of the bone would grow back. He said that he needed to be very careful & wear a hard hat (like a baseball batting helmut) for a while. I think that I can post a photo of the 1878CC later tonight.
Looking back at the auction, the coins have been cleaned. https://www.proxibid.com/asp/showImageFullSize.asp?url=/AuctionImages/989/41637/240.jpg
AHAAhaha yes i agree that the dime/cent error has been around alot ....tho it is a really neat error and i respect it for that ...btw why nor have it slabbed by PCGS/NGC I know im not the most experienced person here but Ive never seen one of those holders....if i saw that on the market i would think its counterfeit/a hoax...then ya ppl might recognize it for what its worth (if its real)

Thanks for the link, yes and I see it there the common Double Denomination that i can easily compare the value as Very Good as of 1893 S Silver Morgan Dollar because of lack of details such as Two Full dates and Not a key date as 1995 of Two Full dates. Please read the coin fact encyclopedia and try to understand which is which one are valuable on double denomination.. Like a regular coin an MS65 of 1893s let's say 625 K, the Very good is 3 K in a double Denomination prices increase regarding of the details in all Images and dates etc...So in a short word you can not compare Apple to Oranges and BANANA. http://www.coinfacts.com/error_coins/double_denomination_errors.htm DOUBLE DENOMINATION ERRORS One of the most expensive, popular, and desired types of errors are the double denominations. This error happens when a coin is struck on a previously struck coin of another denomination. Examples are a cent on a struck dime, and a nickel on a struck cent. The most dramatic are those with considerable design visible from the original strike.
Some collectors don't like error coins...they might say you got the tallest midget in the band? Not me..I love it!!!
That's why I altered my course to Burger King and order Whopper no.1 large soda...More Bread than Mc Donald.. YUMMY.:smile:thumb:

Since I started collecting coins in 1955. I have found a 1932d Qt XF, 1916d 10c vg+mer, and on a Scouting camping trip I found many coins in a creek that got me collecting coins. 1875s 20c f, Stone Mountain 50c (about 25), many shield nickles, flying eagle cents, Indians cents, "V" nic. and a qt that was 1942.
here's a good story i live in a little town in west virginia, and i have hit most of the banks around the area, so i travel to the other counties and look for rolls and boxes. i had a little bit of extra money, and got in the car, i drove over 200 miles to a smaller city than mine, and visited the local bank, it was a small bank, only the locals come down to do their finances. i approached the teller and asked her if she had any halves or dollar coins, she came back with these long yellow coin rolls about 3 of them to be exact. i started looking at them and noticed ike dollars. i purchased these rolls for 25$$ apiece, and the other teller came back with 4 rolls of halves, on the end of one of the rolls i seen a walking liberty, so i went on ahead and bought those too. then i broke down and bought a box of pennies. i got in the car and sped home.i started looking through the dollar coins and noticed the silver content all 5 were shiny peace dollars, a 1922, 3 1925's and a 1928. the second roll was mostly ike dollars and i pulled 2 more 1925 peace dollars. the third roll blew me away!!!! all coins were silver dollars!!!! most were common dates but one intregied me and it was an 1880 cc in about au condition. the halves were good also, i found 8 silver ones 2 franklins 4 jfk's and 2 walking liberties. the 1938 caught my eye aand i flipped it over....bummer.... no d. the cents were excellent found over 100 wheats 50 indian cents and found some older canadian cents from the 20's. the 1931 s wheat i found was harshly cleaned, it broke my heart, but i found it and stuck it in my collection. i found about 10 1909's. one looks like its in excellent condition. the indians were the usual finds 1900- 1907. the canadian cents were neat, i put them in my world coin book. and tons of error coins, clipped ones, off centered coins, over mint marks, some double dies and a blank planchet. when i decided to go back over there one of the majior branches bought out that little bank, and the bank is no more. sometimes i often wonder that if the economy is getting so bad that these elderly people are exchanging their older coins for cash??????? i just dont understand this situation, but all i can say is that it was the best and amazing find i have ever found.
