LOL, my Caracalla coin started a small upheaval among the coin ranks. It is truly a stimulating and very fulfilling pastime dealing with ancient coins.

Since this Antoninus Pius debate covers three ruler personalities, I just discovered one more in my possession, which indeed looks like Elagabalus. (I matched and copied, based on the legend and the two dots to distinguish, from wildwinds) - Elagabalus, AR tetradrachm of Antioch, Syria. AYT K M A dot dot ANTΩNEINOC CEB, laureate head right, slight drapery on left shoulder / DHMARX EX YPATOC TO B, eagle standing right on ground line, head and tail left, wings spread, star between legs, D-E across upper fields. Prieur 270. Hope this was correct. IMG_5061.JPG
