    Hey y'all,

I picked up this coin for about $20, from a seller I trust on ebay, but I'm not convinced of its authenticity. The coloring is way off compared to my other denarii. It's extremely shiny and just appears off to me for some reason. What are your thoughts - real or fake?

Thank you very much in advance!

Probably real but overcleaned and polished.

If you are questioning the coin, I miss how you can say the seller is one you trust. The item has been polished to a degree that it is hard to say whether it once was a good coin or not but now it is no longer good even if authentic.

    I second that thought.

Agree, and there's no need to wear the glove :)
