That's a lovely coin right there! Seleucids is not my area of expertise though.

Don't think any half decent Tet of his can be had under $350-400 from what I could see:)

Even if the obverse is a bit off centre, I doubt that you could buy it at any major auction for much under $450-550.........maybe I'm wayyyyy off on valuations:p

I paid close to 1k for it from a dealer, oh well..Not my primary line of collecting, and was on the spot. never pays to buy something you don’t really know :(

I think if you look at past prices, 2002-12 were good times for Ancients but prices have weakened considerably. An AU 4-4 would perhaps fetch 1-1.2k. Sorry @meme18 I wasn't trying to be insensitive, just objective. But let the experts express their opinions, maybe I'm totally wrong in my estimates.

No need to apologize, I appreciate you weighing in. I want to hear the fair value even if it means that I overpaid. And and any other expert opinions would be appreciated.

I would expect retail for the coin to be $700 to $900, Epiphanes is popular with collectors.

That’s about what I paid (closer to 900). So while I probably could’ve gotten it cheaper at auction I don’t feel as bad now if I paid in the fair retail price range. After all I did buy it retail :)
