Antimicrobial Silver

    just because a compound has copper doesn't mean it has properties similar to Brass of Copper metal.

    Not a good idea. Zinc is actually harmful to Dogs. A post-83 Penny can kill in some cases.

    I haven't been able to find a reference to any commercial items, but I heard that NASA has developed astronaut's socks and underwear with metallic silver threads woven into the fabric. The theory is that the silver kills odor producing bacteria. This lets the individual wear the item for several days before having to change them.

    Didn't know it was used as a weed killer, but cooper sulfate is used often in farming to control fungi. I've used it on my pumpkin and squash fields before. I know several onion farmers us it on onions.

    BTW- I thought it turned your skin blue.

    It's already in some socks and boots. I think lands end brand. Got the GF some boots for xmas.
